Barista / all rounder

4-5 shifts / 32-40 hours per week over the 7 days.  Consistent, year-round work. Must be available school holidays, including Christmas and Easter.

A mix of opens and closes:  6am – 2pm / 10am – 6pm (approximately).   Must be flexible with days. 

General Duties: 

  • Customer Service – taking orders, making coffees, juices, smoothies, toasting / serving food.
  • Opening / closing of the shop, receiving and unpacking deliveries.
  • General food prep, including making wraps, general cleaning.
  • If also helping with kitchen that would include making salads, soups, pies, frittata and other assorted house made items, plus ordering, food prep, stock rotation, food safety, dishes.

Opportunity for some fill in shifts in the kitchen, so kitchen experience would be an advantage.

Ideally you would be looking to be a leader within the team.  Able to see the big picture, give direction to others, have strong attention to detail and hopefully take on additional responsibility once settled in.


  • Local / long-term (no visas)
  • Minimum 2 years hospitality experience.
  • Experienced BARISTA
  • Punctual. Well-presented at all times. Positive. Energetic. Fit.
  • Be a team player.
  • Excel at multi-tasking. Ability to maintain focus, speed & efficiency through various interruptions. Ability to maintain a clean environment while very busy.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and excellent customer service.
  • Passionate about food, coffee and service.  You work in hospitality because you enjoy it and take pride in what you do.
  • You like working in, and contributing, to an organised efficient work environment where there is always something to be done and everyone works to support each other.  You work well with others. You demonstrate awareness, initiative and self-motivation in getting things done, and doing them quickly & efficiently.
