Café Supervisor (currently hiring 12 Oct 2020)

Supporting the Manager/Owner with the day to day running of the cafe.

4-5 shifts per week.  Mostly closing shifts.  Varied start times.

Mostly Monday – Friday, some Saturdays, occasional Sunday

Must be flexible over the 7 days.

Casual pay. Consistent shifts year-round. Must be equally available over school holiday periods especially Christmas.

Good team working environment.  Weekly Pay.

General duties: 

Opening and closing the shop. Serving customers.  Making coffee, juices, smoothies. Preparing food such as wraps, muffins, sandwiches, paninis. Juice prep, re-stocking, unpacking deliveries. Gelato making.

Supervisor duties:

Staff training and supervision.  Ensuring closes and cleaning are thoroughly completed.  Shop presentation, displays, boards, social media.  Ordering and stock rotation, product presentation.  A detailed position description will be provided.


*This position in particular requires a strong attention to detail, ability to be consistently thorough. Ability to both direct staff and pitch in as a member of the team. Must be very organised.  Ability to notice the small things yet also the bigger picture.  Skills and experience to operate on Facebook, Instagram and ideally Word Press.

Local / long-term.  

Extensive hospitality experience: multiple years, multiple venues. Excellent Coffee Skills with real experience.

Great customer service. Energetic, outgoing and happy personality. 

Able to multi task and handle multiple customers at once while keeping calm and focused.
